    Aug 27, 2014 I have been on Plaquenil for 4 years now, with the initial side effects a little stomach upset-take w/food having worn off in about 2 weeks, without that horrible pain or need for a dose increase. The only thing I need to do with Plaquenil is an eye exam every 6 months.check for changes in vision.
