Plaquenil Brand vs Generic I started on the generic for the first few weeks. My eyes ached and my vision was blurry. So I switched to the brand name and immediately my eyes stopped aching and the eyesight cleared up. HOWEVER, for the other symptoms, the generic seemed to work better then the brand name. Unless I"m just getting sicker. which very well could be.
